Gay couple ‘entitled to residency rights’

A gay RomanianAmerican couple should enjoy the same residency rights as other married couples in the European Union, a top legal adviser has said. European Court of Justice Advocate General Melchior Wathelet said the key legal issue in the case of Adrian Coman and his husband Claibourn Robert Hamilton was “freedom of movement”.
