Shadow Minister’s BAE job cuts plea
BROUGH: Leeds MP Fabian Hamilton MP has visited the BAE Systems aerospace site in the East Riding town in his role as Labour’s Shadow Minister for Peace and Disarmament.
Mr Hamilton is calling for an “immediate rethink” after last year’s announcement that the firm plans to cut 2,000 jobs across the UK, including 400 at the Brough site. He said the move would “do serious damage to working-class communities”.
