Thief ‘critical’ after cash machine blast

A suspected thief was last night in a critical condition after an explosion at a cash machine.

Police were called to the incident on Thursday night outside a row of shops on Glasgow Road in the Yoker area of the city. A 51-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is critical.
