SOFTWARE COMPANY WANdisco has announced record bookings and reported strong growth at its flagship live data platform WANdisco Fusion.

Bookings were up 45 per cent to $22.5m for the full year to December 31, 2017.

Its WANdisco Fusion product secured the firm landmark wins across multiple industries including two large contract wins with major financial services companies.

David Richards, CEO and interim chairman of WANdisco, said: “We are delighted to have achieved record bookings for the full year of $22.5m.

“This strong momentum has been underpinned by strong bookings for WANdisco Fusion across a variety of major vertical markets, including two large contract wins with major financial services companies.

“We are also encouraged by the performance of our partner-based go to market strategy, with significant bookings this year from our IBM OEM [original equipment manufacturer] relationship, and the addition of another significant OEM partner with Dell’s Virtustream.”

The Sheffield-based firm has undergone a “transformation”, Mr Richards said.

He added: “We have made significant improvements to our core WANdisco Fusion product, making it more flexible, easier to install, and faster with reduced complexity. This should further increase our abilities to win new business in the future.”

Analysts at Peel Hunt said: “Overall bookings number for the year came in-line with our expectations at $22.5m.

“With a strengthened balance sheet, which will provide additional comfort not just to WANdisco, but also to the prospective customers, the company is now in the best possible position to realise its full potential.”
