Delays after lorry fire on slip road

Firefighters were called out yesterday after a lorry fire was reported.

The driver of the lorry had used a dry powder extinguisher to put out the blaze on the A659 slip road approaching the A64 near Bramham shortly after 8.30am.

Fire crews used thermal imaging cameras to confirm the blaze was extinguished.
