Death of market ‘Sweet Man’ at 79

One of the bestknown stallholders on the town’s market has died after a lengthy illness.

Harold Armitage, who ran sweet stalls at Doncaster Market, died last month at the age of 79.

The funeral service for Mr Armitage, who was known as The Sweet Man, will take place on Thursday at Rose Hill Crematorium at 10.20am.
