Engineering MD named on power list of North’s most influential women
THE BOSS of a Bradford-based manufacturing firm has been named on a list of influential women making a change in their environments and communities.
Joanna Robinson, managing director of Mansfield Pollard, says it is a privilege to have been named on the Northern Power Women’s Future List.
The list was revealed at the third annual Northern Power Women Awards, which took place on March 6 in Manchester.
Northern Power Women is a collaborative campaign that aims to accelerate gender diversity from the North of England.
Ms Robinson said: “I feel privileged to have been named on the Northern Power Women’s Future List, in the company of some exceptional business women and industry leaders.
“I am extremely proud to represent Mansfield Pollard on this list and would like to thank my team for helping me to promote manufacturing and engineering to girls and women with the hope that we will inspire them to pursue careers within the industry.”
Mansfield Pollard is a supplier of energy-efficient ventilation and acoustic control equipment. The firm was established in 1866.
Simone Roche, founder of Northern Power Women, said: “Northern Power Women aims to harness all talent, accelerate gender pay equality and provide people with the knowledge and skills they need to drive their careers forward – all against the backdrop of the Northern Powerhouse agenda.
“We engage with women and men from all industries and business areas as ‘agents of change’ and connect, collaborate and celebrate their achievements as campaign champions and advocates to drive gender balance from the North of England.”
