Man, 19, in court af­ter women hurt

A MAN from West York­shire is due to ap­pear be­fore Pre­ston Crown Court af­ter three women were in­jured when they were hit by a car in Black­pool.

Jake Hart­ley, 19, was at Black­pool Mag­is­trates’ Court for a brief ap­pear­ance yes­ter­day, charged with nine of­fences in re­la­tion to the crash on Satur­day night.

Hart­ley, whose ad­dress in court was given as the Wag­gon and Horses in Rochdale Road, Tod­mor­den, is ac­cused of at­tempted griev­ous bod­ily harm with in­tent, three counts of as­sault re­lat­ing to the three in­jured women, danger­ous driv­ing, driv­ing with­out a li­cence, driv­ing with­out in­surance and pos­ses­sion of a weapon ca­pable of in­ca­pac­i­ta­tion, a stun-gun.

He is also ac­cused of drinkdriv­ing. No pleas were en­tered and Hart­ley was re­manded into cus­tody.
