Truck thieves leave trail of destruction

Thieves left a trail of destruction in their wake after stealing two dumper trucks from a building site.

The vehicles were driven through bollards blocking a subway under the M1 and across a golf course. Police yesterday said they had recovered the trucks taken from Knowsthorpe Lane near Stourton on Monday.
