Six in the running for council seat

Residents in the Town ward head to the polls tomorrow to elect a new borough councillor.

The by-election comes after John McHale stood down due to health reasons. Candidates are Julie Buckley (Green), Carol Greenhalgh (Conservative), Tosh McDonald (Labour), Gareth Pendry (Independent), Ian Smith (Liberal Democrat) and Chris Whitwood (The Yorkshire Party).
