Belles’ Redfearn joins Liverpool

Liverpool Ladies have appointed Doncaster Belles manager Neil Redfearn as their new boss.

Redfearn, who had three spells as Leeds United caretaker manager and had a brief stint in charge of Rotherham in the Championship, has signed a deal for the 2018-19 season.

“It is a massive privilege and real honour for me to have been appointed as manager of Liverpool Ladies,” he said.

Liverpool’s chief executive Peter Moore said he was impressed by Redfearn’s enthusiasm, desire and ambition and added: “He was the real outstanding candidate and we are all delighted to have him on board.”

Guiseley have signed centreback Scott Garner, 26, from Halifax Town.
