Parking accident hotspots revealed

SCOTLAND: Edinburgh is the worst city in the UK for parking accidents, research suggests.

Insurers Admiral found drivers in the Scottish capital are the most likely to make a parking-related claim, with 13.2 per cent of all accidents in 2017 made during the manoeuvre.

Motorists in York and Aberdeen had the second and third highest number of parking-related claims, at 13.1 per cent and 12.9 per cent respectively. Analysis of the firm’s policyholder claims also shows women claimed more for parking accidents than men.
