Boy, 14, is arrested on suspicion of murder after death of man, 29
A 14-YEAR-OLD was last night being quizzed by detectives following the death of a man in Milton Keynes.
Police said the teenager had been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 29-year-old man died following an assault.
The victim sustained injuries during an altercation between a group of males at 10.20pm on Saturday evening, Thames Valley Police said.
The incident took place in Duparc Close, Browns Wood, and the victim left the scene in a taxi while two others left on a moped.
An ambulance was called to Gibbwin, Great Linford, at around 11pm after the victim fell ill in the taxi and he was rushed to Milton Keynes University Hospital where he died shortly after midnight.
The 14-year-old was subsequently arrested and was yesterday being held in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Ailsa Kent, from Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime unit, said: “Detectives are investigating following the death of a man in Milton Keynes, which is being treated as a murder investigation.
“I would like to make an appeal for information to anyone who saw what happened in Duparc Close at around 10.20pm on Saturday.
“If you have any details which could assist our investigation, please come forward.
“Although we are in the early stages of the investigation, we have made an arrest in connection with the man’s death.”
A police cordon was in place at the scene.
