Mother-of-three ‘died after complications from cosmetic surgery’

-

A MOTHER-OF-THREE died after reportedly suffering complications after travelling to Turkey for cosmetic surgery.

Leah Cambridge, 29, inset, a beautician from Leeds, is said to have died after visiting a clinic that boasts celebrity clientele. It carries out an increasingly popular procedure which reshapes the buttocks by transferring fat from areas including the stomach and back.

Ms Cambridge’s partner of 10 years Scott Franks, 31, said the family were still waiting for answers following the tragedy.

He said he believes the procedure went wrong after she travelled to the city of Izmir for the operation. He said: “Leah was one in a million and I was so lucky to have her with me for 10 years. “Two days ago I was happy. Now I’m a broken man.” Father-of-three Mr Scott has joined Ms Cambridge’s parents in Turkey to bring her body home. He warned other people considering the operation to make sure they are aware of any risks. He said: “People need to be aware of the full situation that can happen with this treatment.” The figure-enhancing procedure, has grown in popularity after it was made famous by US reality TV star Kim Kardashian. Advocates of the procedure say it achieves results quickly and recovery from the surgery is usually fast. However, experts have warned it carries a risk of serious complications.
