Yorkshire Mafia hosts women’s lunch during Leeds Business Week
YORKSHIRE MAFIA is to host a women’s networking afternoon during Leeds Business Week following its debut session last year.
The event at the Dakota Deluxe Hotel on October 8 aims to encourage professional women to come together, make new connections, and share knowledge in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Jessica Coates, marketing and events manager at the Yorkshire Mafia, said: “The fact that people were literally queuing round the block for this event last year tells us just how beneficial these gettogethers are for our members.
“We’re really excited to be offering women’s only networking for a second year and to be hearing from the many successful businesswomen that work in and around the city.”
Speaker and sponsor at the event, Mandy Geal, of Learning Partners, said: “A huge part of our business is about empowering women to combat unconscious bias, build confidence, and be at their best, so we’re thrilled to be sponsoring the event and to explain to people that we meet how they can optimise future opportunities.”
Rachael Yates, partner and women’s network ambassador at Freeths, added: “We’re really looking forward to what is sure to be an enjoyable and productive afternoon.”
Implementing a strict no-selling policy at all of its events, the Yorkshire Mafia, which has a network of over 22,000 members, supports organisations in establishing lasting social and professional relationships.
Tickets for the women’s networking event, which will take place between 1pm and 4pm, cost £20pp and include cocktails and canapés. Visit http://leedsbizweek.com/events-seminars.
