Caseload sees North Yorkshire Law expand
SCARBOROUGH LAW firm North Yorkshire Law is to open a new office in York after reporting a 15 per cent increase in its caseload.
The firm will be based at York’s Innovation Centre and comes off the back of an increase in business in York and the surrounding areas.
The new office will be headed up by Natalie Foster, who said: “This is a very exciting move for our clients and everyone involved in the business.
“The addition of a York office allows us to be on hand to give the best service for those instructing North Yorkshire Law to undertake work on their behalf.”
North Yorkshire Law has added an office in Whitby in the last year.
It works across a number of specialisms including probate, family conveyancing, civil litigation, business and commercial matters.
Richard Boyd, managing partner, said: “Having lived in York and carried out my training there, I am more than happy to take my present firm back to the city.
“There are many exciting opportunities for us to provide our brand of service to both new and existing clients.
“The business has seen a series of exciting new hires and promotions recently. It is fantastic to see it continue to expand.”
North Yorkshire Law was formed in 2000 through the amalgamation of a large number of local firms.
These included Marshall Edwards Boyd & Tubbs, Buchannan & White, Pearson & Whitfield, George Cass Rylands, Drabble & Co, Pearson Till and Michael Carter.
The Innovation Centre, part of the York Science Park Development, benefits from direct access to the University of York’s Research and Innovation Office offering further support in helping businesses to grow.
Current residents include creative, high-tech and innovative businesses working in the fields of design, marketing, digital arts and science-based technology.
York and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce is one of the development’s most high profile current tenants.
