University and BID pool resources to offer series of free business workshops

-

LEEDS BECKETT University has joined forces with Halifax BID (Business Improvement District) to offer small businesses in the Halifax area a series of free workshops to boost their growth in the new year.

The workshops will be led by expert trainers, many of them business owners, who will share their knowledge and insight in the areas of social media, business finance, digital skills, customer service excellence, and planning.

Kirstie Frenneaux, Leeds Beckett University Business Centre’s sponsorship programme manager, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses – whatever sector, size or age – to take time out from their day-today management and review their business knowledge and skills. Our short sessions are intended to provide an insight into key trends and provide practical tips and advice to help businesses improve their practices.”

The workshops are free for all BID-levy paying businesses and clients of the University Business Centre.

Other businesses can attend at a cost of £10 per workshop of £50 for the full series of six workshops.

All sessions will be held at Leeds Beckett’s University Business Centre at Piece Mill in Halifax from 4pm to 6.30pm every two weeks, beginning on Wednesday, January 16.
