Sprinklers advice is being ignored

SAFETY: The Government has been urged to act to stop housing developers “consistently ignoring” London Fire Brigade advice to install sprinklers on new buildings.

The brigade wants all purpose-built residential blocks to have sprinklers, as well as buildings including care homes and sheltered accommodation. It comes as the Government consults on regulations following concerns sparked by the 2017 Grenfell Tower disaster.
