The Great Yorkshire Show is one of the biggest agricultural events in the country and is a showcase for the best in British farming, food and livestock.

Every year more than 130,000 visitors and more than 8,500 animals make their way to the Harrogate Showground for the three day event, which this year runs from Tuesday, July 14 to Thursday, July 16.

In the judging rings at the 162nd Show, thousands of animals will compete for a coveted rosette – from cattle to sheep, pigs to pigeons, show horses and showjumpers.

Making a welcome return to the Main Ring this year will be Yorkshire’s own equine stunt team, Atkinson Action Horses and finishing the final day is one of the most prestigious showjumping classes in the country – the Cock O’the North. Along the machinery lines will be cutting edge agricultural equipment and all the latest agri-tech on the market.

In the Food Halls, the best Yorkshire chefs will be doing cookery demos and there is a huge range of fantastic artisan and local produce.

Not forgetting the opportunity to bid on a show entrant from the Cheese and Dairy Show as part of its renowned charity Cheese Auction.

For younger visitors there is the Gen Z area designed especially for teenagers and there is lots for families to explore in the Discovery Zone.

The Kuoni Catwalk will once again feature up and coming designers showing their designs alongside established and High Street names. Just outside the Fashion Pavilion is the Slingsby Gin Garden the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by.
