Inspiring stories told for frontline heroes campaign

-

Hundreds of nominations have been received by Bradfordbased equestrian company Harry Hall in response to its Frontline Hero campaign.

Launched to show its appreciation for key workers in the fight against coronavirus, the campaign is now in its third week and managing director Liz Hopper said the team had been “inundated” with stories.

“We have all been moved by the incredible stories of the Frontline Heroes and the love shown to them by their family, friends and colleagues,” she said.

Nominees have included NHS staff, teachers, care workers, farmers and postal staff.

Ms Hopper said the campaign was close to the team’s hearts, adding: “We realised everyone in the Harry Hall team had a direct link to a frontline worker.

“My sister is a nurse and there are doctors, teachers and shop workers in the families of our employees.

“Seeing first-hand how hard they’re working, we had to do something to help and we hope their selfless actions in these scary times inspire generations to come and they become the new role models of this world.”

All the nominees receive Bronze membership to the Harry Hall One Club which offers discounts and horserelated goods with two Hero nominations chosen by the team to receive a special gift.

Special award winners include a carer, who should be shielding as she suffers with multiple sclerosis and asthma but continues to look after a boy with complex needs, and a trainee nurse working under extreme pressure.

Alongside the campaign, the equestrian retailer is donating 10 per cent of its sales to NHS Charities Together with the aim of raising thousands of pounds to help frontline workers.
