Cruise ships advice ‘illogical’
THE DECISION by the Government to advise UK holidaymakers against travelling on cruise ships has been branded “illogical” by a travel firm.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has advised people not to embark on sailings due to the pandemic. It came after blanket advice against all non-essential foreign travel was lifted for dozens of destinations on Saturday.
Paul Green, of Riviera Travel, said it is “nonsensical” people should be advised against taking river cruises in countries where travel restrictions have been lifted, adding: “This is completely illogical.”
