Welsh tongue twister inspires young Russian
IT is 58 letters long, though you can also call it Llanfairpwll, or Llanfair PG – and it got Russian Nastya Lisitsyna, 16, hooked on learning Welsh.
The Moscow teenager, inset, decided to learn the language nine months ago, after hearing the name of the famous village on an Instagram video.
She has since completed the Welsh course on Duolingo, uses the Teach Yourself Welsh book and takes part in online workshops. She says her dream is to visit Wales.
