Business awards ceremony to honour the brightest and best

-

THE BRIGHTEST and best businesses in Yorkshire have the chance to shine at a major awards ceremony.

The Yorkshire Post’s Excellence in Business Awards for 2020 will honour the region’s best performing companies.

In a year that has presented every single person in Yorkshire with significant challenges, we will also be looking for the firms which have weathered the storm the best, not just in terms of performance, but also how they looked out for clients, customers and staff.

The awards will take place on Wednesday, November 4 and will this year be staged as a hybrid event encompassing both a physical and digitally streamed event.

A physical event will take place at Leeds’s Headingley Stadium with reduced capacity to allow for social distancing.

Meanwhile the entire event will also be streamed online so that guests can find out who has won.

The awards will be presented by a top class media personality and celebrate the best of Yorkshire commerce.

Headline sponsorship this year comes from Addleshaw Goddard, Grant Thornton and Virgin Money.

Associate sponsorship comes from Ernest Wilson and Openreach.

Entries will close at the end of August.

In order to help firms produce the best entries possible we are working with Pure Awards, experts in awards application writing, to host an exclusive online webinar designed to give you tips and guidance on how to put together the best awards nomination for our upcoming awards.

You’ll hear from:

■ Lucinda White – Pure Awards

■ Mark Casci – Business Editor,

■ Judges and past winners.

The virtual masterclass will take place at 10am on Tuesday, August 4 and is expected to last 90 minutes.
