Relaxed Prince adapts to life in public eye
WITH A broad smile and dressed casually in a polo shirt and trousers, it is an image that any doting mother would have taken for her son’s birthday.
And the heart-warming image shows just how quickly Prince George, the third in line to the throne, has adapted to the public eye, looking relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera lens.
The photo was taken by his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, ahead of George’s seventh birthday today.
It is the latest image which has been taken by Kate, a talented amateur photographer, of her family.
Other photographs taken by the Duchess which have previously been released include images of her husband, Prince William, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
She broke with tradition when she took the first official photographs of Charlotte, shortly after she was born in June 2015.
Other images which have been released have documented her other children’s birthdays as well as their first day at school.
Kate was named as the new patron of The Royal Photographic Society, which was founded in 1853 to promote the art and science of photography, in June last year. The Duchess succeeded the Queen who had previously worked with The Royal Photographic Society, supporting the organisation as its patron for 67 years.
In May, the Duchess, in her role as the patron of the National Portrait Gallery, launched Hold Still, a photography project to capture life across the nation during the coronavirus pandemic.
George was born in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London at 4.24pm on July 22, 2013.
