Awards success as heritage is celebrated
YORKSHIRE ORGANISATIONS have triumphed in an award ceremony celebrating heritage.
The annual Museums + Heritage Awards was held online with streams on Facebook and YouTube.
The Partnership of the Year award went to York Art Gallery and the band Kaiser Chiefs for When All is Quiet: Kaiser Chiefs in Conversation with York Art Gallery.
Harewood House Trust in Leeds won Innovation of the Year, an award sponsored by Squint Opera, for its A Night at the Mansion, an after- hours event hosted at the attraction.
Volunteer Team of the Year in partnership with the Association of Independent Museums was won by Worsbrough Mill Youth Action Volunteers at Barnsley Museums
Learning Programme of the Year went to Leeds Museums and Galleries’ Careers for All: meaningful work experience for young people with additional needs. There were 15 winners overall.
