Green Park welcomes civil engineering firm

-

JOBS ARE being created at a major business park in East Yorkshire.

A civil engineering company has become the latest big name to move to Green Park Business Park, in Newport, East Yorkshire.

Kitchen Civils is investing more than £ 700,000 in building a two- floor office development and vehicle maintenance compound at the park, which is close to the M62.

A spokesman said: “Relocating to Green Park will enable Kitchen Civils to streamline its operations, as well as preparing the business for future expansion after outgrowing its current base at Jet Park, which is also in Newport.

“The 28- week construction programme began in May and will see the business to relocate to the new development towards the end of the year, enabling it to start 2021 in its new home.” The company’s founder and managing director Jimmy Kitchen, said: “The business was established in 2012 on the basis that we self- deliver every aspect of each scheme.

“As a result of this, we have a large fleet of plant that requires maintenance and a need for material storage.

“Ourongoingdevelopmentand success has meant that we have outgrown our current premises and have spread this into other locations.

“For this reason, we decided two years ago to relocate, and despite the ongoing difficulties of 2020, we have pushed on.’’

Kitchen Civils specialises in major civil engineering projects, highway and infrastructure works, earthworks and groundworks for large commercial and residential schemes.
