Meteoric rise as marketing agency celebrates birthday with new office
A YORKSHIRE- BASED marketing agency has moved to a new office as it celebrates its second birthday and a number of client wins.
Former PwC marketing director, Angela Brown, launched Meteoric in September 2018 to help businesses across the region stand out from the crowd.
Ripon- based Meteoric acts as a virtual marketing team, providing strategic marketing support to companies that are looking to grow but who don’t have the in- house resources.
A spokesman said: “Aiming for further growth this year, Meteoric plans to grow its team, while continuing to work with a network of local, trusted suppliers to bring the right skills, experience and resource at the right time and the right price for clients.
“Starting from scratch, Angela has built her client base across the professional services sector including supply chain and logistic company Hatmill, Shipley- based global technology firm Consult Red, and restructuring and advisory firm PKF Geoffrey Martin.”
During the lockdown, when many companies were furloughing staff, Ms Brown recruited Charlotte Maddison, a newly qualified graduate to the position of marketing executive to drive digital growth.
She has also recruited Katy Turner from PwC as a retained consultant to drive PR.
Meteoric also moved to a new office in Ripon to create a permanent base for the business.
Ms Brown said: “I’m extremely proud of the rapid growth of Meteoric over the last year and the fantastic calibre and scale of our new client wins.”
She added: “I’ve got ambitious growth plans; there are so many fast- growing exciting businesses in the region with untapped talent and we want to help them achieve their potential and shout about their success.
“While Covid has challenged our business, it’s also created opportunities for growth; gone are the days that you need to be a large agency in the city centre.”
