George, Charlotte and Louis make ‘Granny Diana’ cards

-

PRINCE George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have paid tribute to their “Granny Diana”, inset, on Mother’s Day, and said: “Papa is missing you.”

Pictures of cards made by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s three children have been posted on social media by Kensington Palace.

The palace said Mother’s Day would be “different once again” this year, adding that many people were looking forward to a time in the not-too-distant future when they can give their mother a hug again. But for those experiencing bereavement, yesterday may be particularly challenging.

“Each year on Mother’s Day, George, Charlotte and Louis make cards remembering their Granny, Diana, for William. Whatever your circumstances, we are thinking of you this Mother’s Day,” the palace said.

The social media post includes what appears to be a crayon drawing of a landscape featuring a tree, the sun, and birds flying in a blue sky. George’s card says: “Dear Granny Diana, Happy Happy mothers day. I love you very much and think of you always, Sending lots of love from George xxxxx.”

Charlotte’s card says: “Dear Granny Diana I am thinking of you on mother’s Day. I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love Charlotte xxxxxxxxx.”

Louis’s card features a painted drawing of a big heart and is adorned with animal stickers.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Archewell Foundation has named new causes it will be supporting, including an online racial justice movement and mental health charity Mind.

It made the announcement a week after their televised twohour tell-all primetime show with Oprah Winfrey was broadcast.

During the programme, Meghan told the chat show host she had been suicidal while in the royal family and claimed she received no help after telling staff about her suffering.

She and Harry also made explosive allegations of racist comments about their oneyear-old son, Archie.

In an update from the foundation, it said it would be providing support to Colour of Change, Mind, the PressPad Charitable Foundation and URL Media.
