Stevenage draw could prove big point for City

BRADFORD CITY joint manager Mark Trueman believes their draw at Stevenage could prove a big point.

Clayton Donaldson scored the equaliser at the Lamex Stadium with his first goal for four months. But Trueman felt his side could have gone on to make it three straight wins against a home side who are unbeaten since February 13.

“It could be a big point come the end of the season although I’m a bit disappointed not to get all three,” admitted Trueman.

“It didn’t really fall for us in the final third, which it has done in the last couple of games.

“But I was pleased to see the quality we showed with the goal and I felt we were the better team second half.”

Richard O’Donnell, making his 100th league appearance for the visitors, was called straight into action to thwart Elliot List, whose shot deflected off the goalkeeper’s outstretched leg and bounced on the bar. But O’Donnell’s luck ran out when he pushed a Luke Norris header against the bar and the ball struck him on the way back down and went in.

However, the Bantams soon produced a well-worked equaliser. Elliot Watt picked out Connor Wood’s run and the left back delivered a precise cross that Donaldson looped past Jamie Cumming.
