‘Violent predator’ jailed for sex attack on lone woman after leaving nightclub
A “VIOLENT PREDATOR” who preyed on and sexually assaulted a lone woman after she left a night club in Hull city centre in September has been sentenced to seven-and-ahalf years in prison.
Shko Khdri, 28, approached the woman on Carr Lane in Hull in the early hours of Tuesday September 19.
He pushed her to the ground and violently sexually assaulted her. A struggle ensued and she was able to flee to Paragon Street where she sought safety with a member of the public.
Following the attack, officers launched an investigation and recovered CCTV footage which captured the assault and a clear image of Khdri.
A public appeal to locate Khdri was circulated and as a result, he was arrested three days later at his workplace.
Khdri, of Walliker Street in Hull pleaded guilty to sexual assault at an earlier hearing and was sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court.
DS Bethany Sergeant leading the investigation said: “Khdri is a sexual predator and I’m pleased he is now being punished for his unforgiveable actions. He subjected a woman to what I can only describe as a violent attack leaving her in fear of her own safety.
“I would like to commend the woman for her bravery throughout the entirety of the investigation and court proceedings. I hope today’s outcome provides her with some comfort in knowing that Khrdi is unable to harm anybody else.
“We are committed to making our streets safer by preventing these types of crimes, investigating reported offences and pursuing perpetrators and bringing them to justice.”
