Brexit ‘must not block EU cash’

POLITICS: Brexit must not be allowed to block billions of pounds worth of EU regeneration funding, English councils have warned.

The Local Government Association is concerned that the Government may try to hold on to the bulk of the £5.3bn due to be distributed by the end of the decade as EU withdrawal looms. The LGA is seeking assurances from Ministers over the release of the money.
