Murder hunt after river body found
LONDON: A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found in the River Thames.
The victim, who was thought to have been fishing before he disappeared, was discovered in the water in Walton-on-Thames on Thursday.
A post-mortem examination found he was killed by trauma to the head, Surrey Police said. The fire service the searched the river after concerns were raised about the missing man’s safety.
