Pensioner dies after car crash

AN 80-YEAR-OLD woman from Hull has died after a crash in the Anlaby area of the city.

She was driving a white Audi A1 which was involved in a collision with a white BMW X5 on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened outside the leisure centre on Springfield Way just before 3.30pm. Two people travelling in the BMW – an adult front seat passenger and a child sitting in the back – suffered minor injuries.

Humberside Police said they were not naming the deceased woman yesterday.

Witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting log number 386 of July 28.
