Brummies win funniest town title

Birmingham has been crowned the funniest city in the UK.

Analysis of three million social conversations combined with consumer research revealed the laughter profiles of 25 towns and cities led to Birmingham, famous for comedians including Jasper Carrott and Frank Skinner, winning the poll. It pipped Leeds to the top spot, according to the study by lastminute.com. The top five was completed by Cardiff, Hull and Newcastle.
