Branson ‘should lose knighthood’

Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell has called for Sir Richard Branson to lose his knighthood.

Mr McDonnell accused Sir Richard of trying to “undermine our democracy” after his Virgin Trains company released CCTV footage casting doubt on Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s claim a service he was on was “rampacked”. Mr Corbyn has said he could not find two seats together so he could sit with his wife.
