If you are one of those Leos who likes surprises, you’ll be in your element this week. Something that happens over the next few days will catch you completely off guard. Faraway people and places will be much on your mind, stirring your adventurous urges. If you get a chance to travel, take it – you have nothing to lose.

If there is a task you should have done long ago, but have repeatedly avoided, then you really must do something about it this week. There’s no excuse. It may be slightly unpleasant, but if you get it over with now you will never have to worry about it again.

The Sun in Leo is perfectly aligned with Uranus, planet of change, this week. You may pretend you’re prepared for what happens next – and if you say it enough you may even believe it – but, in fact, you’ll be as taken aback as anyone. At least it’s the kind of surprise you can enjoy.

It may at times seem as if the world has gone mad, but in the greater scheme of things there’s a reason for everything. That isn’t, of course, an excuse to turn a blind eye and let injustice run unchecked, but you should consider taking certain events a little less personally.

How’s your sense of humour? It matters because the next few days are going to be full of sudden surprises and if you’re not in the right mood, they may not strike you as particularly funny. Start the week as you intend to continue – with a smile on your face.

Even if you’re the kind of Capricorn who wants things to stay as they are for ever, this is not the time to wage a personal war against the forces of transformation. Let go and allow fate to take its course this week. Change will be good to you if you give up the struggle.

Some things you care about, some you don’t and there’s no need to feel guilty about that. You seem to be going through a phase of thinking you should take certain things more seriously. On the contrary, the world would be a lot better if we learned to laugh at it more often.

If you’re still having trouble with a work or financial issue, you may have to consider tackling it from a completely different angle. For best results, do the one thing no one expects of you – the shock of seeing you go to extremes will convince others of your commitment.

Expect the unexpected this week and you won’t be disappointed. With the Sun linked to Uranus, planet of surprises, there’s every chance you’ll be the beneficiary of some splendid news. It may not be what you anticipated, but it’s exactly what you need. Make good use of it.

You must never assume that other people always know better than you. If someone you live or work with tries to shoot down your suggestions this week, stand up for what you believe in and argue it through. Your ideas are as good as anyone’s – and better than most.

Reality isn’t always pleasant, which is why so many people try to avoid it – but even Geminis have bills to pay and obligations to meet. On the other hand, reality is rarely as bad as expected and this week’s aspects suggest you’re in for a pleasant surprise – maybe more than one.

This is not a week to take risks, especially with money – whether your own or someone else’s. The Moon, your ruler, full in Aquarius warns you can’t expect others to bail you out if you make a costly mistake. Nor are you in a position to assist if someone comes to you for financial help.
