THE MUM Actress Reese Witherspoon, 40 THE MINI-ME Ava Phillippe, 17 LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER? It’s all in the genes: high-school student Ava shares her mum’s blue eyes, heart-shaped face and blonde hair (although she prefers to dye hers all colours of the rainbow). The pair often share Instagram snaps where they look identical. Ava hasn’t yet announced whether she plans to follow her mum into Hollywood, but a career in fashion – Reese has raved about her style – could be beckoning.
THE MUM Supermodel Cindy Crawford, 50 THE MINI-ME Kaia Gerber, 15 LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER? Following in her ‘original supermodel’ mum’s footsteps, Kaia recently won Breakthrough Model of the Year. Their matching manes and endless legs have earned them a joint cover on Vogue Paris (although Kaia hasn’t inherited her mum’s distinctive beauty spot – that’s younger brother Presley who, like his sister, is signed to model agency IMG). But while Kaia has some way to go before she can match Cindy’s 400-plus solo magazine covers, she’s already making her mark in movies, with a role in this year’s Sister Cities.
THE MUM Model Jerry Hall, 60 THE MINI-ME Georgia May Jagger, 24 LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER? Model Georgia has inherited Jerry’s tumbling blonde locks and famous toothy smile – and has a slew of lucrative modelling campaigns to show for it. She even teamed up with her mum in the centenary issue of
Vogue to re-create Jerry’s famous swim-hat shot. Just like her mother, Georgia’s got a thing for musicians – she’s in a long-term relationship with photographer Josh Ludlow, who she met when he was in a punk band with her brother James.
THE MUM Actress Julianne Moore, 55 THE MINI-ME Liv Freundlich, 14 LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER? The duo share the same Titian hair and porcelain complexion, which proved useful when Liv made her acting debut as her mother’s daughter in Trust the Man in 2005, directed by her father Bart Freundlich.

And, like Vanessa, she has been requisitioned as one of Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel muses. The identical pair walked the Paris catwalk together last year.

As well as her decidedly Welsh name, Carys has inherited her mother’s dramatic Celtic looks, with flowing chocolate hair and a rosebud pout. Iris is following in the footsteps of mum Sadie’s – and godmother Kate Moss’s – early modelling days with a Teen Vogue cover to her name and the promise of a Chanel campaign (though no shoots for Sadie’s Frost French line yet). And get ready for the return of the famous Primrose Hill set: Iris has already palled up with London scenesters Lila Grace (daughter of Kate) and Vivienne Westwood’s granddaughter Cora Corre.

While Georgetown University student Iman isn’t as well-known as her mother, who is renowned for championing education and human rights around the world, she is already famed for mirroring her mother’s flawless style choices on royal engagements in Paris and Sweden.
