NEED TO GET IN THE RIGHT MINDSET?

-

Whether you’re planning to take full advantage of our new-found freedoms or are full of regret at what you did – or didn’t do – during lockdown, WW can still help you lose weight. ‘There are people who wish they’d done Couch To 5K or not worn elasticated trousers for months,’ says Julia Westgarth, Head of Programme for WW. ‘They need to stop regretting and think about what they can do to improve their wellbeing. ‘There are also many who are battling with anxiety – maybe they’ve used lockdown to their advantage and lost weight, but are nervous about meeting up with old friends who might not encourage these new habits. If that’s you, use the mindset content in our app – there are amazing audio sessions with grounding advice, from how to breathe to what to think about. And talk to people about how you’re feeling. Lean on your friends and family, lean on the Connect community in our app or your WW coach and tell them how you’re feeling. I’d be surprised if you didn’t have a queue of people to listen to you.’

OUR RECIPES WILL TREAT YOUR TASTEBUDS WHILE HELPING YOU LOSE WEIGHT

Whatever your reason for wanting to lose weight and whatever your lifestyle, WW has a plan that will suit you. There are currently three different programmes – green, blue and purple – that cover everything from people who love to cook at home to those who eat out a lot and everyone in-between. If you don’t know which one’s right for you, don’t worry – when you join, you’ll fill in a questionnaire that will help you determine which one to follow.

The basics for each plan are the same. Every single food you eat – whether it’s a plain ingredient like oats or a ready meal or chocolate bar – has a points value.

Some have Zeropoints, meaning you can eat as much as you like to keep yourself full. These tend to be healthier foods such as beetroot, blueberries and tomatoes. Everything else has a Smartpoints
