Get glammed up again (at last)…

…with my favourite new make-up launches

-

Now that we’re able to go out (but be inside), it seems a good time to highlight some of the latest make-up launches that make things feel more dressed up. I’ll start with stick products because they seem so eminently practical when we’re socialising but still masked. You can simply slip these into a handbag or pocket and when you need to retouch just twist them up and apply.

Two of the best come from

Lancôme courtesy of its global creative director, make-up artist Lisa Eldridge (if you haven’t seen her Makeup: A Glamorous History TV documentary it’s well worth a watch and currently on BBC iplayer). For foundation the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Stick Foundation

(1, £29.50, lancome.com) is the same creamy formula and natural-looking coverage as the original liquid version, but reformulated into a bullet. It comes in 20 shades and has an inbuilt kabuki brush (no fingers required). An accompanying blush stick (2, £29) is another favourite, officially a cream-topowder formula it feels like a solid mousse and gives a natural flush. Also on the cream-topowder blush front is Hourglass Vanish Blush Stick (3, £45, hourglasscosmetics.com). It’s well pigmented and I find it needs a touch more blending.

Rouge Dior Forever Liquid Lipstick (6, £32, dior.com) is longlasting, genuinely transfer-proof (so good for mask life) and yet so hydrating it leaves even my constantly prone to dry lips in good shape. I love the matt texture and Forever Nude shade.

Chantecaille Lip Chic in Peach Blossom (10, £38, spacenk.com) is a moisturising swipe of colour that feels more like a tinted serum. For a high-shine gloss, try Maybelline Lifter Gloss (8, £8.99, nationwide) in Petal, which contains hydrating hyaluronic acid to keep lips smooth.

The limited-edition By Terry Brightening CC Palette

(4, £42, spacenk.com) is an easy do-it-all with a bronzer, blush and ‘optical glow’ highlighters to add a brightening lift to the face.

Tom Ford Cream and Powder Eye Colour in Golden Peach (9, £51, tomford.co.uk) is a perfect summer pick-me-up for eyes. A lightly shimmering shade of cream eyeshadow, it’s easy to apply, stays put and comes with a coordinating glittery powder shadow to ramp things up should you want to.

Maybelline Brow Fast Sculpt Gel Mascara (7, £6.99, nationwide) is good at building up and holding brows, but the brush really grabs and coats even the smallest hairs which helps to make brows look fuller.

Lastly, Essie Gel Couture Long Lasting High Shine Gel Nail Polish (5, £9.99, boots.com) is top notch. It gives great shine, lasts incredibly well without chipping, but comes off with normal remover; Lady in Red is a very elegant shade. @edwinaingschambers
