For those searching for love, friendship or wishing to connect with like-minded business people in the equestrian world, a website called Country Connections has been launched. The site offers live chat, forums and messaging to social groups with interests in equestrian, photography, walking and gardening and plans are already in the pipeline for social events. “I’d done a lot of research into the rural dating sites and the comments left about their service. What I found was, if you didn’t meet anyone, you didn’t get anything out of it,” says Stewart Hastie, director of Country Connections. “Our site is different because every person who signs up to it will get something out of it. Even if you don’t meet a new friend locally or a partner, you can still take part in the groups and forums, learning more about your interest from others.
