TIPS FOR SUCCESS

-

Riding a 10m circle is great preparation for both shoulder-in and travers, but you need to ride it accurately. “As you approach E or B, look across your schooling area, asking for a little more inside bend as you ride the 10m circle,” says Alison. “Your inside leg and rein create suppleness in the direction of your circle and your outside leg and rein control the angle of bend. This’ll ensure you ride an accurate circle. Keep your body in the centre of your horse, no dropping your hips to the left or right.”
