This action-packed zone plays host to a talented band of experts who’ll spill all their secrets for a show-stopping turnout Clipping like a pro

British Grooms Association member Liz Daniels is on hand to talk you through all you need to know for a safe and stressfree clip. She also has some great advice on how to achieve those (sometimes elusive) straight lines and how to give young or nervous horses confidence when clipping for the first time.

Hovis and Teddy get a spruce-up

Superstars Hovis and Teddy will be making an appearance at 9.30am each morning to enjoy a spot of pampering before meeting their many adoring fans. Pop along to find out what products keep both of them shiny and tangle free, and then stick around for a post-demonstration meet, greet and photo opportunity. Please note: Hovis is in the Friday and Sunday 9.30am slots, with Teddy’s appearances planned for Saturday and Sunday.

Stand out in the show ring

Visitor favourite and top show producer/rider Katie Jerram-Hunnable is on hand to reveal how to tidy and trim for the show ring. Plus she’ll share lots of turnout tips, including how to achieve perfect plaits, master quarter marks and create a spectacular impression. Katie rides a number of horses for Her Majesty The Queen, including the gorgeous Barbers Shop, so you can be sure that she knows her stuff.

Creative tail plaiting

Freelance groom Nikki Baxter is tackling tails in the zone. She’ll be talking all things tail plaiting, so you can learn how to achieve a great result at home. New ideas on creative plaiting will also be demonstrated.

Dressage style

Para dressage star Sir Lee Pearson CBE takes huge pride in his turnout and presentation at competitions. In this demonstration, his superstar groom demonstrates grooming tips and techniques to give you confidence to ride down the centre line with style.

Clipping question time

At 4pm each day there will be an interactive Q&A session where you can ask the industry experts all your clipping-related questions and see a range of clippers and trimmers in action too.
