A PERFECT PARTNER SUCCESS STORY
Tanzanite is just one of the many hundreds of rehoming success stories from Bransby Horses. She arrived at the charity in 2016 along with four other Arab mares. All were emaciated and had heavy worm burdens, and they needed many months of intensive care to bring them back from the brink.
The early years
All five mares spent the next few years learning about life at Bransby Horses.
This was an important step in the process of rehabilitation to make sure the mares were happy and settled in their new environment. All became firm favourites due to their big personalities. The team was thrilled when Tanzanite was ready to take the next step on her journey and find her forever home.
Finding her Perfect Partner
The team took their time to find the right partner for Tanzanite. Being a petite Arab, they had to ensure her Perfect Partner had the right knowledge of the breed and was physically the right fit for her. Fortunately, it wasn’t too long before the perfect couple found one another through the charity’s rehoming scheme. The process involved many hours and miles travelled by Tanzanite’s potential Perfect Partner, spending time building the relationship before the chestnut mare moved to her forever home.
Tanzanite’s fosterer says: “I couldn’t believe my luck when Bransby invited me to try Tanzanite. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her. The whole process was very straightforward and everyone involved made me feel so welcome. “Bransby made me feel that they always had Tanzanite’s best interests at heart. Despite a hard start to her life, she is such a loving and kind girl and that’s down to the love and care she received at Bransby.”
