Reading the recent letter about clothes being stuffed into bags by shop staff brought to mind an occasion when I collected an item I had bought online, at the chosen store. To get my bonus points on my storecard, the parcel had to be opened. The assistant attacked it with scissors, then asked, “Do you want to open it?”I replied, “No. If you damage it, I will be refunded, whereas if I damage it, it won’t!” Guess what? She did cut into the garment, so it was a wise decision.
