A friend in need

-

In March this year I was on a coach trip to Wells in Somerset. I am elderly, disabled with polio and use a wheeled walker. I got lost in a street with not many people about. It must have been providence that, on approaching a small car park, I met a gentleman on his way out. I asked if he could tell me how to get back to the cathedral where I had to meet up with the coach. He was so helpful and took me back so that I could continue viewing the cathedral before boarding the coach. He was a stonemason, aged 52, called Raymond and a Christian. He also got me a hot chocolate and would not take any money for it. He really cheered up my visit with someone to chat to. I hope someone sees this letter and can tell him how much appreciated he was.
