DAY TWO
What to do
Explore the past with a trip to the Jersey War Tunnels. This network of tunnels is a product of the island’s five-year occupation by the Nazis, and were dug by enslaved workers. As well as exploring the tunnels, you can spend a quiet moment in the Garden of Reflection or follow the War Trail through the woods.
Tickets £12 adults, £8 children. Call 01534 860808 or visit www. jerseywartunnels.com
Where to eat
Try the ‘best fish and chips’ on Jersey at Entwhistles in Gorey, on the island’s east side. A charming, traditional chippy that’s been going for 30 years.
