Living near a Waitrose adds more than £36,000 to the value of your house, while being near any supermarke­t rings up your property value by £21,512 on average. The Lloyds Bank research also revealed properties close to a Marks & Spencer have the second highest premium, with homes typically worth £29,992 more than those further away. Interestin­gly, houses near a Lidl are valued at £6,416 more, but properties near an Aldi are £2,902 less expensive than those in surroundin­g areas.
