A practical strawberry – and it’s pretty too! Time: 45 mins Skill level: Beginner Materials: 40cm (12in) red spotty fabric Small sealed plastic bag filled with sand Toy filling 20cm (8in) green fabric Needle and thread Sewing machine 1 Cut out two strawberry shapes from the red fabric. Place together right sides facing and sew. Leave a gap for filling. 2 Turn out and carefully insert your sealed bag of sand. Push to the base of your berry, fill any remaining gaps with toy filling and hand sew the opening. 3 Cut out two leaf shapes from the green fabric and a large rectangle for the stalk. Put the two leaves together and sew, leaving a small gap for filling. Turn out, fill with stuffing and hand sew the opening. 4 Fold over the fabric for the stalk and machine sew the long edge and one short edge. Turn out and fill. Hand sew the remaining short edge. 5 Hand sew the stalk to the middle of your leaf then hand sew the leaf to your berry.
