My mother and I were all dressed up here for a day on the sands at Barry Island beach. We never wore sun screen in those days, but we obviously didn’t need it anyway as we were so covered up! My mother was wearing a navy suit with a co-ordinating blouse. Sylvia Thompson, Vale of Glamorgan I was aged 11 when this photo was taken, together with my three lovely aunts on holiday. Don’t they look so elegant with their full skirts, v necklines and permed hair? I remember taking many photos with that brown Kodak camera. Pauline Simons, Middlesex This is a photo (below) of my auntie and me at a barbecue in Majorca. I was wearing one of my really expensive designer white linen dresses – they were all the fashion back then. I was so upset when a bottle of red wine I’d bought smashed in my suitcase. I never got the stains out! Margaret Dunsdale, Newcastle Here I am (above) with my friend in the South of France wearing a yellow cut-out jumpsuit, similar to the ones sold on the high street now. Needless to say, it wasn’t as expensive as they are today. I am 82 now and it still fits me. What goes around comes around! Barbara Henson, Kent
