To make the cushion:

1 Draw two lemon shapes on the yellow fabric with tailor’s chalk. Cut out, place right sides together and sew. Leave a small opening for turning and filling. 2 Turn fabric right sides out and fill with stuffing. Hand sew the opening closed. 3 Cut two leaf shapes from the green fabric. Place right sides together. Machine around edge. Leave small gap for turning. 4 Turn right side out, hand sew the opening and sew to the top of your lemon cushion.

To make the lemon slices:

1 Cut a circle each from the yellow and white fabrics, both with 60cm (23in) diameter. 2 Cut 5 slightly different-sized triangles from the yellow fabric and round the corners. 3 Pin the triangles to the white fabric. Attach with zigzag stitch. 4 Put the white and yellow circles together, right sides facing and sew, leaving a gap for filling and turning. 5 Turn right way out and stuff. Hand sew the opening closed.
